Buildings
Buildings erected in the city have a significant impact on the player’s power and capabilities. First of all: the higher the level of the city, the more certain buildings (gold and stone mines, sawmill, farms and hospitals) can be erected.

When building an army, you need to be mindful not to exceed this value. Otherwise, units will die during battles, and this will be a significant weakness for the player.
- Warehouse – defines the amount of safe resources that cant be raided by other gamers. Its important to continuously upgrade it and make sure that the resources are not stored beyond the warehouse limit. Its best to use any extra resources immediately for upgrades or research.
- Alliance Center – after joining an active alliance, it is worth developing this building. Its importance is great, as it will speed up construction and technology research, thanks to the support of other players.
- City Hall – The most important building in the city, which gives access to new functionality, and is also key to defining the maximum level of other buildings. No structure can be expanded to a higher level than the current City Hall
Heroes
Silver keys are good to use on a regular basis to collect rewards. Gold keys, on the other hand, have a hidden bonus. After collecting and using 200 gold keys on a single visit to an inn, the player will receive a powerful bonus. Therefore, it’s a good idea to store the keys until 200 are collected.
When finding heroes, it is a good idea to focus on developing those that work best in conjunction with the chosen nation. For example, Vikings with a bonus for infantry units can be further enhanced by a hero strengthening the same units.
Heroes are developed by fighting neutral units on the world map and using books of knowledge. It is a good idea to focus on a total of three selected elite heroes (e.g. infantry + archers and a character designed to collect resources). When playing defensively, you can consider heroes with a garrison bonus to strengthen the city while defending.
Elite heroes are worth developing through battles with barbarians (neutral units). Books of knowledge will be best saved for much more powerful, legendary heroes, so that you don’t waste time tediously excavating them.
Every 10 levels of a hero, you can raise him by one star. This strengthens his random skill and allows you to gain more levels. At three stars, it is possible to send two different commanders on a joint march, which is a significant strengthening of the army.

It is advisable to wait to take rewards until they are needed for further development. In such a situation, too, you should not take everything at once, but only enough to continue expansion.
Exploring the map
When the game begins, the map is covered with fog, and only the immediate area of the player’s castle is visible. One must be careful to scout the map constantly and explore more territory. This will allow you to better prepare for a possible attack by another player, but also to find villages and caves with valuable treasures.
