An employee at Konami has allegedly assaulted his boss with a fire extinguisher. It’s been reported that the assault was an intended murder.
According to Livedoor, a Japanese newshub, the former employee assaulted his boss with murderous intent. The names of the two individuals have not been released yet but the assaulter is believed to be a 41 year old man and the victim was a 48 year old male.
However, there seems to be more to the tale as the subordinate has reported instances of workplace harassment by the superior. Reportedly, the power harassment carried out has sparked the altercation where the subordinate physically lashed out.
The subordinate has complained to the Konami management a year back regarding harassment which the management has denied. After he was reinstated in a different team, the issue was stated to have been resolved. However, that seems not to be the case as the subordinate reported a similar exchange to the police that happened on the day of the altercation.
The suspect is to be charged with murder as he has stated his murderous intent to the police upon arrest. The boss is currently in an undisclosed hospital recovering from the head injury he received from the assault.
