After twenty years of silence, the legendary game shows its face to the gaming community once again. Will this 90s classic be as epic as we all remember it to be?
Shadowman got its first release in the 90s as a dark magic infused battle for survival. Blowfish Studios is behind the new title named Shadowman : Darque Legacy. The first game revolved around Michael LeRoi, who was an English major that turned into a voodoo warrior. The game followed the storyline set by the comic from Valiant Comics. The 90s classic even got a sequel in the early 2000s that didn’t hit off as well as the latter. Will the new sequel do this cult classic justice?
The new sequel will allow the player to step into the shoes of Jack Boniface. Vowing to defend the likes of humanity against the Deadside, Jack will take the fight to the demons, cultists and necromancers in the grim world of Shadowman.
When it comes to the genre, think of the game as a cross between shadowman and a souls game! We expect the game to be loaded with supernatural weapons that will blast through the demons blocking your path. The deadly combat is most likely paired with an intriguing narrative that will envelope the player in this grim battle against evil.
Nothing much is known about the release of the game other than it possibly being released in 2024. The game will be released to Xbox, PS5 and PC as always with a heavy emphasis of DLCs making their way into the game over time. We really do hope that this title will revive the glory of 90s gaming to the current gaming community: thereby immortalizing Shadowman in the world of gaming
