Castro102 got a ban handed out by Twitch a few weeks back, leaving the Fifa gaming community confused and angry. The charitable streamer has had no prior alterations to the gaming platform, making this ban entirely uncalled for.
The streamer skyrocketed in popularity after he joined the Sidemen. Known for his enthusiasm for helping charitable causes, Castro102 was a pretty wholesome figure in the Twitch community. The recent ban has dismayed his 3 million odd followers over Twitch and its moderation criteria.
So far, there is no information on what caused Castro102 to get banned. However, a similar occurrence occurred recently as a streamer got banned for their username in-game. There are speculations that this may have been the case. But Castro102 is adamant that he is innocent.
Castro102 has also been viewing videos of Football which may have sparked a DMCA takedown on his channel. However, it is unprofessional not to issue a reason for the ban, especially since it is “permanent.”
With Kick, the newest streaming rival to Twitch, rising in popularity, Twitch may have to reboot its attitudes toward its streamers. Several high-profile streamers have started moving out of Twitch because of their absurd moderation policies.
