Nintendo Hosts Its Own Game Convention As E3 Shuts Down

Nintendo’s exclusive event will take place in September and it’s going to be a blast!

Gaming enthusiasts were left heartbroken last month as the Electronic Entertainment Expo got officially canceled for the year. But as they say, every cloud has a silver lining. All the major gaming corporations are hosting their own bespoke events and Nintendo just announced theirs.

Why did E3 get canceled?

Covid truly hindered E3 from progressing as an event in the recent years, with both 2021 and 2022 held virtually whilst 2019 was simply removed from the calendar. Gaming fans were expecting something big in 2023 as E3 announced that they are finally back to physical events.

However, things didn’t go according to plan as all the big names started to drop out of the event. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo were the first to announce as they decided to withhold their participation. With so many big names calling it quits, the E3 2023 did not gain the interest it required to make the event feasible.

How big is the event?

The Nintendo event will be held in Seattle and will be an event for all age groups. The specifics are not yet out but we have a hunch of what will be there for you to experience if you wish to partake. As always there will be a live performance which is a trademark of Nintendo at this point. Most likely there will be competitions and meetup stalls to meet some of the biggest names out there. Not to mention you will definitely be able to snap a selfie with your favorite Nintendo characters.
